Is Self-help Possible for Anxiety and Depression? – Part One

When you wake up in the morning, you have high hopes of gaining new experiences that the new day would bring. These experiences, good or bad, contribute to your wholeness as a person. You are able to learn many things which makes you a more knowledgeable and smart person. But not all people are ready to face the hardships that the real world has to offer.

Life is a not a bed of roses. Sometimes you do have positive experiences in life; but the sad truth is that one day you will have to face difficulties and hardships. While many people are able to face up to these problems, there are still those who can’t cope up with it. And so they suffer from anxiety and depression.

You might not be aware of it, but anxiety and depression needs to be addressed in a proper way to prevent serious effects to a person’s life. About two thirds of all the people in the world suffering from anxiety and/or depression (including Australia, UK, and USA) do not undergo any form of proper treatment. Even the World Health Organization can attest to this grave fact.
